1Malaysia, beyond face value it crumbles (dwi bahasa)

Recent prime ministers all have their pet fad that comes and go. From “Vision 2020” that morphed into “bankruptcy by 2019 if subsidies not cut”, and now vanished Islam Hadhari, 1Malaysia appears to be another promise that will fall short of its rich but abstract promises.
1Malaysia emphasizes on unity and delivery. Yet given the mini tsunami of political violence perpetuated overwhelmingly by 1 side of the political divide, 1Malaysia’s credibility is not endangered but already crumbled altogether.

Whether this latest fad is inspired from 1Israel via APCO is immaterial. What really matters is whether that logo is in fact an act of flag desecration (or flag abuse)

Example of flag abuse / contoh perbuatan menghina bendera

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some countries have laws forbidding methods of destruction (such as burning in public) or forbidding particular uses (such as for commercial purposes);
Sesetengah negara menggubalkan undang-undang melarang pelbagai perbuatan merosakkan (seperti membakar bendera) atau penyalahgunaan bendera (umpamanya untuk tujuan-tujuan perdagangan)
Actions that may be treated as flag desecration include:
Defacing it with slogans[1]
Merosakkannya dengan slogan
Cutting or ripping it[1]
Memotong atau mengoyak bendera
Making toilet paper, napkins, doormats, and other such items bearing the image of the flag, so that the flag's image will be destroyed or soiled in the course of everyday activities.[2]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notice the above definition and consider the following:

Did our Jalur Gemilang got cut up from a rectangular to a pole like shape? Yes.
Ya.
Did our Jalur Gemilang been stamped with alphabets that is not part of our flag? Looks like it.
Nampaknya memang begitu.
As for commercial application of our priceless flag, let’s consider the impact of Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia:

Did Jalur Gemilang been relegated into a commercial logo similar in exposure like any other trade mark, any being promoted like a merchandized, a cheaper one at that?
Adakah Jalur Gemilang kita telah dijatuhkan maruahnya sehingga dijadikan alat untuk mengiklankan cap niaga barangan harga rendah ?

And while products labeled with Jalur Gemilang is saddled with avoidable controversies such as inaccurate and misleading information on their labels and substandard qualities, what happen on a daily basis to our flag?

After opening the can.../selepas membuka tin ini......

The tin with 1Malaysia log would probably end up here / tin kosong itu akan dibuang sebagai sampah

A democratic country means citizens have choices and not being feed fed with some gimmick.

Rakyat sesebuah negara demokratik mempunyai hak membuat pilihan dan bukannya dipaksa menerima
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Producers of three controlled items - flour, sugar and cooking oil - must use the 1Malaysia logo on packages of these products put on sale from this month, if they want to continue enjoying the government subsidies.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Subsidies granted are sourced from tax payers. It should not be used to pay for a political symbol that is geared towards winning support for a political coalition. Businessmen being the people they are will pass on the cost of re-labelling plus margin back to consumers.

1Malaysia logo is as ubiquitous like Angry Bird or Hello Kitty. It is clearly a political symbol and perhaps a pet mascot. SPR should rule this as a political logo and treat it just like a political party symbol which must not be seen by public on polling day

.
If the SPR is professional and independent enough, it should invoke its vested power under section 26 (g) Election Offence Act 1954, whereby no person on polling day within a distance of 50 metres from any polling station, wear, hold or carry any form or type of clothing, ornament, rosette, water bottle or umbrella on which the name of a candidate or the name, emblem or symbol of any political party is printed or imprinted.

An enlightening fact on flag desecration.

That means the bentley and the luxury bus that I see occasionally speeding on the Sprint highway that have been painted the Jalur Gemilang colours are indeed mocking the Malaysian flag.

    Is this act then seditious?

Bila satu2 hasrat itu tujuan-nya bukan untok nilai2 murni, kesan-nya adalah apa yang terjadi kepada 1Malaysia, Islam Hadhari, Wawasan 2020. Semua itu skim2 menipuan dari UMNO. Lain2 negara tiada OneItu, Oneini atau apa2 sapertinya. Lihat Singapore, diam2 dia maju, tak hutang siapa pun, industri2 pun maju sedang Malasia banyak kerugian, GLC kantoi, dsb. Poodah UMNO. Semua penganut UMNO akan dilonggokkan kedalam JAHANAM.

"Businessmen being the people they are will pass on the cost of re-labelling plus margin back to consumers"- Lee, in this case because those are subsidised products, I am sure these enterprising businessmen will pass the extra costs through other products, but, one thing we can be sure, the extra costs will be passed to the consumers!!
You are barking up the wrong tree - this 1Malaysia Logo is the property of the PM of the country.
Which bureaucrat will dare incur his wrath by pointing out the soiling of our Jalur Gemilang theway you have pointed out here!!
If the SPR is professional and independent enough- i believe u know as well as I do, the EC is but a division of the UMNOputras, so no action will be taken!!
